Cheddar Cheese - Planning approval

October 2023 - We're delighted to have achieved full Planning approval for a large commercial extension to our locally beloved #cheddarcheese factory at Cheddar Gorge (the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Co).


The new design enables a significant increase in production along with accessibility improvements and an enhanced visitor experience that embraces everything Cheese related!




As the application site sits within a bat consultation zone, the approval process included significant consultation and collaboration with local ecology specialist Nash Ecology, who are also based in Cheddar.
